Instructions:
Add some dazzle and glamour to your next dinner party with the addition of these clever craft ideas and the help of some gorgeous Resene colours. Labelling your place settings is a great way to set the scene for your dinner party and organise your guests to their dinner table place. Collect up a group of large thick leaves from your neighbourhood trees. Paint each leaf with two coats of Resene paint. I’ve chosen Resene Biscay and Resene Gelato as my base colours. Once dry, dip the point of each leaf into a testpot of Resene FX Metallic Gold, draining as much paint off as possible. Leave to dry overnight. With a fine paintbrush, label each leaf with the name of one of your dinner party guests with Resene Bianca. Set your table with a tablecloth, napkins, flowers and candlesticks in co-ordinating colours and place an individual leaf place-setting on each plate for a glamorous dinner party vibe. Add a bespoke party favour box and decorate your dinner party décor with fun party wheel rosettes.
What you'll need:
Instructions:
Two pieces of A4 paper from top to bottom into a fan. Unfold, and paint each horizontal fold in alternating Resene paint. I’ve used Resene Biscay, Resene Gelato and Resene FX Metallic Gold. Once dry, re-fold both pieces of paper back into a fan and fold in half onto itself. Fix the two inside edges to each other using double-sided tape to create a fan then fix the two fans together in the same way to create a rosette. Attach ribbon to the back of the rosette and hang as a glamorous backdrop to your dinner party.
What you'll need:
Instructions:
Recycle old match boxes into gorgeous gifts for your guests. Cut and measure card into strips the width and breadth of your boxes so it can wrap completely around the box. Mine are roughly 7x18cm. Paint the card and the inside of the boxes with two coats of either Resene Biscay or Resene Gelato. Once dry, stick each card strip to the matchbox with double-sided tape. With a fine brush, paint stripes or dots over each box with Resene FX Metallic Gold. Fill each box with decadent treats and tie with a pretty bow.
