Suitcase coffee table

Step 1
Start by giving your suitcase a sand with a medium grit sand paper. Wipe the dust away with a cloth.

Step 2
Prime the suitcase with one coat of Resene Quick Dry.

Step 3
Once the primer is dry, apply two coats of Resene Yuma, allowing for the first coat to dry before applying the second coat.

Step 4
Use painters tape to make stripes on your suitcase. Fleur painted stripes with Resene Coconut Cream and Resene Crail. Remove the tape as soon as you have finished painting.

Step 5
Once the paint has dried, apply two coats of Resene Aquaclear to make the paint more hardwearing (or you could use Resene Lustacryl paints for your base paints).

Step 6
If you use wooden legs, apply one coat of Resene Quick Dry, followed by two coats of Resene Crail. Fleur screwed metal furniture leg attachments to the bottom of the suitcase and screwed the legs into these.
